I know it's not a food use, but millet always shows up at the Minnesota State Fair in the Seed Art. Those of you from other parts of the world may find this a strange thing, but people love it. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2024/08/21/blossoming-late-new-state-fair-crop... -- *Robin Asbell* *http://robinasbell.com/ <http://robinasbell.com/>*

Thanks, Robin. Millets are indeed versatile! And grain art is apparently a thing, so millets have their place there too. I wonder if one could do something like what Ms. Sorenson does only with a full range of varieties of all millets (undyed / unpainted)? The color spectrum would be limited to whites, grays, yellows, browns, reds, and blacks, but within that range, a lot of variation. Plus some size variation. We're coming up to harvest season in the northern hemisphere when it's common to see dried stalks of corn etc. made into displays. Any examples incorporating millets? On the topic of the versatility of millets, Tapas Chandra Roy just posted this webpage on his Millet Advisor website: "10 Fascinating and Lesser-known Uses of Millets that you might not be aware of in 2024" https://milletadvisor.com/uses-of-millets/ Seet art is not among them, but we might count it as #11. I left a comment on the page. One imagines there could also be other uses of millets. One particular to sorghum is of course the syrup from sweet varieties..
