With regard to a millets advisory board, it would be helpful to understand more about how you foresee that functioning. Could something more like an open online millets research & development community achieve what you are seeking?

One issue with setting up a board (as I understand it) is identifying members, and defining how it functions and to whom it answers. Thinking in terms of an open virtual community (or possibly more than one for different areas of focus like crops, processing, etc.) could potentially provide a richer resource.

Of course, if you are seeking a millets advisory board primarily for your company or initiative, you could also assemble one by invitation, and perhaps ask the community for recommendations or volunteers?
