Our Millets Webinar this Thursday, April 17 will focus on pearl millet. We'll review the range of uses of this crop in North America and hear from Dr. Om Dangi of Agriculture Environmental Renewal Canada (AERC) about his work with this crop.
Pearl millet is the sixth most cultivated grain crop in the world. But in contrast with parts of Asia and Africa where it is a staple food, it is grown in North America mainly as a cover crop and for animal forage, as well as other uses. What do we have to look forward to with this resilient crop?
AERC has developed pearl millet hybrids, including one grown for grain, as well as seeds for other crops.
The webinar will be at 11 am EDT / 8 am PDT on April 17. Connection details forthcoming.
